Challenge

Content creators need help balancing creative work with time-consuming tasks like translating scripts into video and summarization. With so much to manage, the process can quickly become overwhelming, leaving limited time for genuine creativity and innovation. They need a streamlined, intelligent solution to handle these repetitive tasks efficiently, allowing them to focus more on their passion for creating. The challenge lies in finding a tool that supports their workflow without sacrificing time and energy, empowering them to put creativity at the forefront of their work.

This project aims to simplify content production by enabling creators to focus on their storytelling rather than technical barriers. By integrating features like text-to-video generation, automated editing, and intelligent scene suggestions, TiFi minimizes the time and effort creators typically spend on post-production tasks.

My Impact

When I joined the design team for TiFi, the other team members had started the project, and I was handed the design brief for a complete understanding. I led the redesign of the Text-to-Video flow to improve the user experience. My job was to update the initial design, ensuring consistency across components and pages while optimizing the usability of each flow.

Design Process

Ideation and Iteration

The TiFi project required that I understand the intended users' needs and solutions. With the design system foundation already established, I built upon it to enhance consistency and streamline the user experience. When I joined the team, my task was to revamp the Text-to-Video flow by leveraging the existing design system and incorporating new elements.

I ensured the product met user needs while maintaining the original design aesthetics, which was crucial throughout the ideation phase. I explored various inspirations to refine the design, focusing on presenting information clearly and enhancing the overall user experience.

To ensure a working product, I collaborated with a sub-team, including a Product Manager and developers across frontend, backend, and mobile.

Design

In the "after" version, I updated the headline text to enhance SEO and redesigned the loader for a more visually appealing look. I added an icon next to the progress loader and adjusted the padding to create a cleaner layout.

I redesigned the text fill and adjusted the button to make it more compact and visually appealing. This refinement aimed to keep the interface clean and simple while ensuring a smooth and seamless user experience.

Conclusion

The TiFi project was incredibly fulfilling, as it was one of my first to go live. My role centered on refining the Text-to-Video feature, ensuring a seamless, visually appealing user experience. I gained invaluable experience collaborating within a large, dynamic team, meeting tight deadlines, and balancing aesthetic appeal with user-friendly functionality. Additionally, I learned the importance of designing with developers and technical professionals in mind, emphasizing usability alongside technical requirements.
